Travis Kelce forced to sit out second half in playoff loss to Titans

by Matthew Fox | Chiefs Correspondent | Sat, Jan 6th 9:39pm EST

Travis Kelce hauled in four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the first half before suffering a concussion during the Chiefs' 22-21 playoff loss to the Titans.

Fantasy Impact:

Kelce caught all four of his targets before being forced to leave the game due to injury. Kelce suffered a concussion after taking a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit from safety Jonathan Cyprien late in the second quarter. Kelce was visibly disoriented after the hit but he was able to jog off the field. Ultimately, Kelce would not return for the second half. The Chiefs' offense was shut out in the second half and they blew a 17 point lead without their Pro Bowl tight end. All in all, this was an extremely disappointing ending to the season for both Kelce and the Chiefs. The loss aside, Kelce had a fantastic 2017 fantasy season, finishing as the top scoring tight end by a wide margin. Kelce could legitimately challenge Rob Gronkowski to be the first tight end selected in fantasy drafts next season.
