Marcus Mariota throws TD to himself in Wild Card win

by Mark Leipold | Titans Correspondent | Mon, Jan 8th 9:13am EST

Marcus Mariota completed 19 of 31 pass attempts for 205 yards and a two touchdowns, as well as one interception in the Titans' Wild Card win over the Chiefs. He added 8 carries for 46 yards, and a reception for 6 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Impact:

Mariota set the football world on fire with a 6 yard touchdown pass to himself on a deflected pass. He grabbed the ball after it was batted away by a defender and dove for the pylon, just getting the ball across the line. For those who have him in playoff pools, this game went well. The Titans were able to sneak out with a win, too. Mariota has had a down year by all accounts, but is so versatile that he can do damage in most contests, giving him a nice floor. He'll be a value next year most likely, since lots of players were burned by him this year.
