Frank Gore's time in Indy almost up?

by Anthony Cervino | Wed, Feb 21st 3:26pm EST

Indianapolis Colts beat writer Mike Chappell doesn't expect the team to re-sign impending free-agent RB Frank Gore this offseason. (Mike Chappell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

At one time Gore saw an opportunity to continue his career and compete for a championship with the Colts. However, three years later, the Colts have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league, primarily due to the lingering shoulder injury carried by Andrew Luck. And although Luck is expected to return in 2018, the Colts are clearly in a rebuild, which means Gore, who will turn 35 in May, should be on his way out, moving on to yet another expected contender if he intends to continue his career. And since we've been waiting for him to hang up his cleats, he just missed yet another 1000-yard rushing year in 2017 and seems like he has some gas left in the tank. Expect Gore to be on a roster by training camp.
