Tyrod Taylor to be retained by Bills?

by Anthony Cervino | Jets Correspondent | Thu, Feb 22nd 5:15pm EST

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Buffalo Bills aren't planning on releasing QB Tyrod Taylor. (Around the NFL on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Rapoport also added that the Bills aren't "afraid" to pay Taylor his $6 million roster bonus due on the third day of the new league year (March 17). And although Taylor struggled at times throughout his tenure in Buffalo, he is 22-20 in his career as a starter and has led the Bills to their first playoff berth since the Doug Flutie and Rob Johnson era. As a result of his mild success, the Bills likely feel that he's worth at least a mid-to-late round draft pick, which is the likely reason why they will retain him, at least for now. Retaining Taylor at this point also suggests that the Bills could target a QB in the draft and keeping Taylor around to start until the rookie is ready could be the route the team will go moving forward. In either case, the Bills are in the quarterback market this offseason.
