Vinny Curry renegotiating contract with Eagles, could be released or traded

by Mike Maher | Sun, Mar 4th 9:20pm EST

Vinny Curry is a candidate to be released by the Philadelphia Eagles as the team attempts to clear up some money to get under the salary cap, according to a report from Ian Rapoport. Rapoport has updated his initial report to add that the Eagles could potentially restructure Curry's contract in order to keep him, and that teams have reached out about the possibility of trading for Curry. Fantasy Impact:

Curry had a solid year for the Super Bowl champs, especially against the run, but he only had three sacks and carries an $11 million cap hit for the 2018 season. With the Eagles up against the salary cap, it was not likely that Curry would be returning at his current salary, and now it sounds like a trade, release, or contract restructuring are all possibilities.
