Jimmy Graham's run with Seahawks expected to be over

by Anthony Cervino | Saints Correspondent | Mon, Mar 5th 5:31pm EST

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks are expected to move on from TE Jimmy Graham this offseason. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

No surprise here. While Graham was still productive in the red zone -- he scored 10 TDs in 2017 -- his yards per catch average significantly dropped. He only averaged 9.1 YPC last season, regressing from a 14.2 mark in the previous year. However, he is only entering his age 31 season. And while he is on the back end of his career, tight ends like Delanie Walker, Greg Olsen and Jason Witten, just to name a few, are still producing at a respectable level well into their mid-30s, which only inflates Graham's value on the open market. While Pelissero believes the Saints are one of the teams that will heavily pursue Graham, I wouldn't rule out the Patriots as a possible landing spot, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Rob Gronkowski's future, plus, his injury history even if he does return. Despite the anticipated change of scenery, Graham appears poised for yet another productive fantasy campaign despite his 2017 regression.
