Richard Sherman getting cut?

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Richard Sherman has been texting his Seahawks teammates over the last 24 hours saying goodbye, which clearly says that he won't be on the team in 2018. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Nothing has been made official yet, but teammate Jeremy Lane started the whole thing by tweeting out, "That text message got my heart hurting ... damn 25 was my Dawg." It appears that the Seahawks are looking to completely rebuild their team and it started with the coaching staff this offseason. Sherman was playing hurt through a majority of 2017, but is still a difference-maker on the field. He's going to generate plenty of interest on the open market, provided he can pass a physical. He is currently rehabbing from an Achilles injury that cut his 2017 season short.
