Michael Bennett traded to Eagles

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Seahawks have traded away defensive lineman Michael Bennett to the Eagles, in exchange for a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

We were told that there was going to be a lot of movement this offseason, and this is a big one. Bennett has been a Pro Bowl defensive end/tackle for quite some time in Seattle, but as we've seen, they are moving in a different direction as a franchise with the trade of Bennett and pending release of Richard Sherman. The Eagles are now likely to release defensive end Vinny Curry, who turned down a request to take a pay-cut. The fifth-round pick isn't much compensation, but it'll help provide the Seahawks with some more ammunition in the draft, as they're missing their second- and third-round draft picks. This is a great move for the Eagles, as they added major talent without giving up much of anything.
