Mike Evans inks extension

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and WR Mike Evans have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension worth $85.5 million. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Not only does Evans' new deal tie him to the Buccaneers until 2023, but it also includes $55 million in guaranteed money, and it makes sense. Although Evans is coming off of his worst statistical season since 2015, his rookie deal was set to expire in 2019 as he was set to enter his walk year. Fully eliminating the distraction of a potential contract dispute, the extension makes sense for both sides.
