It was a shocking development to see Brees and the Saints not strike a deal prior to the legal tampering period, meaning any team could make a pitch to Brees. The Vikings are a team built to win now and they know it, which is why they are reportedly willing to give Kirk Cousins a three-year fully-guaranteed deal. Whatever the hold up is, Brees would be an even better solution to win now, though he is now 39 years old. We'll continue to update any developments on Brees' contract status.
