Former Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson is expected to sign with the New York Jets, according to Adam Schefter on Twitter. Ian Rapoport adds that the deal is expected to be roughly $15 million per season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Jets entered the 2018 offseason with the most salary cap space in the NFL. After reportedly missing out on Kirk Cousins, they were able to dedicate money to bring in Johnson to help their secondary. With Malcolm Butler getting a big contract from the Tennessee Titans earlier in the day, Johnson, as the top cornerback on the market, had a clear benchmark contract for the Jets to beat.
