Chase Daniel heading to Chicago

NFL Network's Peter Schrager is reporting the Chicago Bears and impending free-agent QB Chase Daniel have agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal. (Peter Scrager on Twitter)

Schrager is reporting that Daniel is going to sign a deal with the Bears when the free agent signing period begins later on at 4 pm. Today is the start of the new league year. Daniel, one of the most sought-after backup QBs in the league, will rejoin Matt Nagy in Chicago, who was the signal caller's quarterbacks coach back in 2013 while they were both in Kansas City. Daniel could emerge as Mitchell Trubisky's primary reserve for 2018.
