Durham Smythe goes to Dolphins at pick 123

With the 123rd pick in the NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected Notre Dame tight end Durham Smythe.

Fantasy Impact:

Smythe is the second tight end taken by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL Draft, as they selected Penn State's Mike Gesicki in the second round. After the Julius Thomas experiment went poorly in Miami, they are obviously stocking up on young talent in order to get some production out of the position. Smythe is a big-bodied tight end at 6'5" and more than 250 pounds, and his role will likely be primarily as a blocking tight end in the NFL.
