Phillip Dorsett's option declined by Patriots

The New England Patriots declined the fifth-year option for wide receiver Phillip Dorsett, who will become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2018 NFL season. (Mike Garafolo on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

This move was expected, as Dorsett was due $9.387 million had the Patriots picked up the fifth-year option. The 2015 first-round selection by the Colts was acquired by New England for QB Jacoby Brissett last September. Although Dorsett was fourth among New England's wideouts with 377 snaps, he only managed to catch 12 passes for 194 yards last season and will have a hard time making the Patriots' final 2018 roster. Only 25, Dorsett will likely play somewhere next season, but his dynasty fantasy value continues to dwindle.
