Daniel Carlson impressive at OTAs

In his Access Vikings blog for the Star Tribune, Vikings writer Andrew Krammer wrote that fifth-round rookie placekicker Daniel Carlson has looked impressive, booming kicks from outside 50 yards and going a perfect 5-for-5 on kicks on Tuesday. Incumbent starter Kai Forbath, who finished 10th in the NFL with 130 points last season, went 3-for-4 on kicks. (Star Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
Carlson converted over 80-percent of his career field goal attempts at Auburn and led the SEC in field goals made in each of the past three seasons. The Vikings traded up in the fifth round to select Carlson, which is a good sign that they have every intention of making him their starter moving forward. The Vikings look poised to have a top-10 offense in 2018, making Carlson a solid bet in fantasy football.
