Pro Football Talk is reporting that there is "zero truth" to the Rob Gronkowski trade rumors that surfaced mid-day Friday. (Pro Football Talk)

The rumor was started on Reddit by the same user who had reported the Julian Edelman suspension before the major media outlets did, leading people to believe there was truth when he said that Gronkowski wouldn't be on the Patriots roster by the end of the day. It never made much sense, as the Patriots have at least one more year to make a Super Bowl run with Tom Brady, so why trade away the best tight end in the history of the NFL, especially when they're suddenly lacking pass-catchers? Gronkowski should be considered the TE1 in fantasy football, as Travis Kelce has a new quarterback, along with some new target competition with Sammy Watkins.
