Calvin Ridley getting open deep at OTAs

First-round WR Calvin Ridley has displayed his crisp route-running throughout OTAs, resulting in the rookie wideout continually getting open deep during open OTA practices. Ridley was lauded as one of the best route-runners in the 2018 draft class, which comes as no surprise to offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, who coached Ridley at Alabama in 2016. "He’s a dynamic play-maker. You can see that. He can catch the deep ball. He’s athletic. He can run,” said Sarkisian, adding “He’s come a long way in a short amount of time.” (D. Fantasy Impact:

Ridley is expected to start on the outside opposite of Julio Jones, which could set the rookie up to see plenty of lessers cornerbacks. Atlanta's offense took a step back in Sarkisian's first year with the team but is a prime bounce-back candidate. Ridley should easily surpass the 51 targets vacated by Taylor Gabriel, who signed with Chicago.
