Davis Webb looks 'ready to play'

Davis Webb isn't likely to start this season with Eli Manning entrenched in front of him, by Ryan Dunlevy of NJ Advance Media has been impressed with this second-year QB, noting that Webb has displayed a strong arm and "looks ready to play." Dunleavy has been so impressed with Webb that he thinks the Giants could receive trade inquiries if Webb gets a chance to see regular season action. (Ryan Dunleavy via NJ.com)

Webb didn't see the field as a rookie even though the previous regime made the disastrous decision to end Eli Manning's start streak by trotting out Geno Smith. Now that the new regime has Kyle Lauletta to develop, Webb should see a lot of snaps in the preseason. If he impresses, Webb could draw interest from teams that are looking for an injury replacement.
