Odell Beckham Jr. cleared to return but won't participate in drills

by Jody Smith | Tue, Jun 12th 12:38pm EDT

Odell Beckham Jr. has been cleared to participate in practice by the New York Giants' medical staff but the veteran wideout is expected to be limited to sideline work and drills. Beckham, who missed 12 games in 2017 with an ankle injury, is also entering the final year of his rookie contract. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

This move isn't surprising, as the team wants to bring their star wideout along slowly and Beckham is seeking a new contract. Beckham is one of the best players in the league and stands to gain nothing in minicamps, so it's best for all sides to take a cautious approach. There's no reason to think that Beckham won't be fully ready to roll in Week 1, so feel free to target him as a first-round fantasy pick in all formats.
