Cameron Meredith 'way ahead of schedule'

Jeff Duncan of Nola.com writes that wide receiver Cameron Meredith is "way ahead of schedule" according to head coach Sean Payton. Meredith tore his ACL last preseason and missed the entire 2017 season. New Orleans signed the 25-year-old restricted free agent and he's expected to replace Willie Snead as the Saints' slot receiver. (The Times-Picayune)

Fantasy Impact:

Meredith was very good in 2016, catching 66 passes for 888 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games with Chicago. If he is fully healthy by Week 1, as expected, Meredith is in an excellent position to potentially command 80+ targets for the high-octane Saints offense. Meredith is a strong sleeper candidate to target in the back-end of PPR drafts.
