Josh Allen under no pressure to start early

Stephen McCarthy of Buffalo Low Down reported that the Buffalo Bills coaching staff is fully embracing their plan to bring Josh Allen along slowly, running him mostly with the third team to take pressure off. (Buffalo Low Down)

Fantasy Impact:

The Bills' coaching staff appears to be in no rush to start Josh Allen, which makes perfect sense, given the state of the rest of the roster. Regardless of who is playing quarterback for the Bills in 2018, they are not a contender, so it makes the most sense to let Allen develop, especially considering he was widely considered one of the less pro-ready quarterbacks in the 2018 class. Allen showed moments of brilliance at Wyoming, but also made plays that left everyone scratching their heads. Consistency will be the name of the game will Allen, and if the Bills stick to their developmental plan, Allen may not start at all in 2018. He's a hard pass in drafts. Even if he wins the job, he's still a hard pass because there is so little talent around him on offense to propel fantasy output.
