Josh Gordon will not be with Browns to start camp

In a Twitter post on Monday morning, Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon made it clear that he will not be with the team in Cleveland to start training camp, citing his overall health and treatment plan they have in place. (Josh Gordon on Twitter)

This is odd timing to say the least, as training camps are starting up this week. Gordon's post was a bit long and he talked about being in a good place mentally and physically, but needing to miss the start of camp? One has to wonder if this is in order for him to secure a contract extension, as he's set to become a restricted free agent after this season. Whatever the case, this is not good news for Gordon's fantasy appeal, as he already comes with plenty of risk. If drafting today, it might be wise to slide him down your draft board at the chance there's something else going on behind the scenes.
