Todd Gurley signing four-year, $60 Million extension with Rams

The Rams and running back Todd Gurley are finalizing agreement on a four-year extension worth $60 million that includes $45 million guaranteed that ties him to Los Angeles for the next six seasons, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. Schefter adds that $45 million guaranteed is the largest guarantee given to a running back and the deal is the largest per-year average for any running back. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gurley's contract resets the running back market and surely makes the likes of David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott happy. While Le'Veon Bell probably would have liked to see this deal get done a few weeks ago, this does give him added going into next offseason. Gurley had a monster year in 2017 and was a strong candidate to be the NFL MVP, which ultimately went to Tom Brady. Now, he is rewarded with a monster contract to match his production.
