Saquon Barkley adjusting to a pro-style offense in training camp

by Mike Maher | Eagles Correspondent | Tue, Aug 7th 9:45pm EDT

New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley has spent time during training camp adjusting to a different kind of offense than the one he played in at Penn State, reports Matt Lombardo of NJ.com. In college, Barkley always lined up in the shotgun and never ran behind a fullback, two things he will be expected to do with the Giants. (Matt Lombardo, NJ.com)

Fantasy Impact:

It does not sound like anyone, including Barkley, is particularly concerned that the number two overall pick will be able to adjust to the new style, but it is a significant change to consider. Barkley was an explosive playmaker and game-changer in college, and the Giants are expected to get the ball in his hands in a number of ways in 2018. He is going to be a regular number one overall pick in dynasty and keeper drafts, and he should go in the first two rounds of most redraft leagues, as well.
