Jamaal Williams grabs TD reception in preseason opener

Jamaal Williams started in the backfield for the Packers in their preseason opening win over the Titans, 31-17. Williams had five carries for 16 yards on the ground and had an eight-yard TD reception on the Packers opening drive of the game.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams is part of a trio of Packers RBs that will get touches this season along with Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones. With Jones out the first two games of the season, Williams will have an opportunity to take the role as the primary ball carrier. Williams had 556 rushing yards with a 3.6 YPC and four rushing scores during his rookie season. While he will cede time in the backfield on passing downs to Montogomery, Williams is still a capable pass catcher to help pad his overall stats. Williams is currently the 39th RB off the board in PPR leagues according to our consensus ADP, slightly ahead of fellow RBs, Montgomery and Jones.
