Josh Allen hits both extremes in debut

Josh Allen completed 9-of-19 pass attempts for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' preseason opener. He added three carries for 29 yards, including a well-timed 13-yard run for a first down, his longest carry of the game.

Fantasy Impact:

Allen showed some flashes of brilliance, including an off-balance throw that only a few quarterbacks on the planet could convert -- and he made it look easy. However, Allen also tried to scramble and evade oncoming rushers in one instance, running backwards and taking an unnecessarily large loss on the play. Allen sure has potential, but he will be mistake-prone, at least early in his career. Outside of dynasty formats, it's hard to make the case for Allen in fantasy football this season.
