Vita Vea (calf) approaching return triggers transactions

by Gary VanDyke | Buccaneers Correspondent | Fri, Aug 17th 7:51pm EDT

With the report rookie defensive tackle Vita Vea (calf) reportedly shedding his boot, but not yet back to practice, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the corresponding transaction to fill the lack of defensive tackle depth. The team waived injured DT Stevie Tu'ikolovatu. after surgery for a torn triceps. And in a corresponding move, they have signed DT Drew Iddings. (usatoday.com)

Fantasy Impact:

IDP owners may want to temper their expectations for Vea his rookie season via information flowing out of Tampa Bay in 2018. They have revamped the defensive line and rotation is already in place to keep the big men fresh during the games. Vea is a highly sought after and an impressive athlete for a big man, but he may not have the opportunities to showcase his skill set enough to project him as a must own IDP play. And missing most of camp thus far has not helped matters.
