LeGarrette Blount gains 32 yards in Lions second preseason game

LeGarrette Blount got the bulk of the work on the ground in the Lions second preseason game against the Giants on Friday. Blount received 11 carries for 32 yards with a long run of seven yards during the 30-17 loss.
Fantasy Impact:
Most of Blount's carries came in the second half with the second-team. He was unable to break off any long runs and was held to 2.9 YPC. Blount will be the primary backup to Kerryon Johnson and likely get some work in short yardage situations although he was unable to convert a fourth-and-two try in the third quarter to end a drive. His value is also limited in PPR leagues with better pass catchers like Theo Riddick and Johnson on the roster.
