The Vikings have released veteran kicker Kai Forbath, resulting in rookie Daniel Carlson winning the kicker job for the Vikings. (StarTribune)

Carlson made all six kicks (four extra-points and two field goals) in the Vikings preseason opener against the Broncos and provides more distance on kickoffs. Carlson is a viable fantasy option for a Vikings offense that is expected to put some points on the board this season.
