Adrian Peterson inks deal with Washington

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Washington has agreed to terms with running back Adrian Peterson. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Derrius Guice injury had a trickle-down effect on the rest of the depth chart, though it's odd to see them sign Peterson. He's a two-down back who has a skill-set similar to Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine. There was a time where it wouldn't have mattered who was on the depth chart, but that time is long gone, as Peterson has totaled just 601 yards on his last 193 carries, which amounts to just 3.12 yards per carry. He does walk onto a team with a solid offensive line, something that wouldn't have been said about Arizona's last year. As of now, you should approach Peterson, Kelley, and Perine with caution in fantasy drafts, as any of the three can be cut at any moment.
