Earl Thomas III

Earl Thomas doesn't do Earl Thomas things

by Christopher Bunch | Tue, Sep 18th 3:26am EDT

Seahawks' FS Earl Thomas recorded four solo tackles and two assisted tackles in their Week 2 matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Impact:

Thomas didn't have a bad game by any stretch, but he didn't make the big plays we're all accustomed to. He did force a fumble by literally punching the ball out, but the runner had already been ruled down. He also came up to make a nice tackle of Bears' QB Mitch Trubisky just short of the first down marker to kill a drive in the middle of the fourth quarter and give the Seahawks' offense another opportunity. But Thomas missed a bad tackle on Bears' WR Allen Robinson to allow a first down and continue an eventual TD drive, and didn't provide that spark the Seahawks so desperately need from him with the rest of their defense in shambles.
