Rob Gronkowski's injury not expected to be serious

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that to his "understanding," there is "nothing concerning" about Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's (ankle) overall health or his availability for Week 3. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Although Gronkowski popped up on the Week 3 injury report with an ankle injury -- he was limited at Thursday's practice -- his injury is not expected to be a serious one. Per Rapoport, Gronkowski was only limited because he wanted to "take it easy" on his ankle and that there is no concern about his playing status for Sunday's tilt against the Lions. However, with the Patriots, anything is possible, so Gronkowski's fantasy owners should have a Plan-B at the tight end just in case. But if he plays, which is expected, the Pro Bowl tight end is primed to bounce back after a sub-par performance versus the Jaguars last week in a dream matchup facing a suspect Lions defense. In a potential shoot-out, Gronk is the TE1 across all fantasy formats for Week 3.
