Jack Doyle (hip) ruled out for Week 3

by Jody Smith | Fri, Sep 21st 1:27pm EDT

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle has been ruled out for Week 3 with a hip injury. Doyle hasn't practiced all week and his being ruled out this early indicates he was never really close to playing. (Jim Irsay via Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

The Colts have run the third most two-tight end formations in the league, so Doyle's absence will make Eric Ebron a full-time player this week. Indianapolis is also expected to activate Erik Swoope from the practice squad. Doyle should be back for Week 4 but while he's out, Ebron should be a top-10 fantasy option.
