According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Vikings have ruled running back Dalvin Cook out for their Week 3 game against the Bills. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is what we should've expected after Cook worked off to the side from the team the last few days. When playing against the 0-2 Bills who may not be able to score a single point in Minnesota, there was no reason to risk re-aggravation to his hamstring. The injury is also to the leg that he had surgically-repaired this offseason, so it requires additional attention by the Vikings and their medical staff. Seeing that he's been ruled out on Friday, his status for Week 4 may also be in doubt. The aftermath is that Latavius Murray is now a legitimate RB1-play in Week 3 against the Bills. They've now allowed 21 running back touchdowns in their last 11 games, which included 138 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to backup running backs alone in Weeks 1 and 2. Make sure he's in your lineup.
