Dez Bryant helped off practice field Friday, team fears torn achilles

by Mike Maher | Fri, Nov 9th 4:03pm EST

New Saints wide receiver Dez Bryant was helped off the field at practice today after suffering what the team fears may be a torn Achilles, according to a report from Tom Pelissero. He is heading for an MRI now. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This would be devastating news for a wide receiver who sat out the first half of the season while looking for the right team. He was not expected to play against the Bengals on Sunday, but the hope was that he could become a dangerous WR2 opposite Michael Thomas for the Saints. Now, if the initial fears of the Saints are correct, he will be done for the season and will head to free agency coming off of a serious injury at 30 years old.
