Alex Smith suffered a broken tibia and fibula Sunday afternoon and underwent immediate surgery. He will miss the remainder of the season according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Impact:

It was pretty clear to anyone who saw the play that Smith had suffered a severe injury. With his season complete, Colt McCoy is the current backup for Washington. The receivers on the team already offered little fantasy value with Smith under center and the team will likely continue to lean on the run game and their defense to keep them in games.
