Joey Bosa ‘feeling all right’ after first game back

by Alex Johnson | Chargers Correspondent | Tue, Nov 20th 11:58am EST

Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa (foot) made his 2018 debut in Sunday’s loss to the Broncos after missing the first nine games with a bone bruise in his foot. He recorded one tackle and one QB hit and afterwards said he is feeling good about the foot. "My foot is feeling all right, so again, I'm going to just keep managing it," Bosa said, via ESPN.com. "At this point I really know what to expect. So when I wake up, it's tough to walk in the morning and it takes a little bit to warm up, it's totally fine and expected. So it's not much of a worry at all anymore." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Coach Anthony Lynn said the plan had been to give Bosa about 20 snaps in the game but he wound up playing 31 as the team was trying to win late. "We probably had him around 20, but you know how coaches are," Lynn said. "When you get in the game, you're trying to win. But we have to be careful with him; we don't want to just throw him out there and say 'go.' He hasn't played in a while, and we didn't want him to hurt something else, so we'll work him back in there slowly." Bosa should see his snaps increase over the next few weeks as he gets back into playing shape and gains confidence in the foot. He is one of the league’s most dominant pass-rushers when he’s at 100-percent. Los Angeles will take on the struggling Cardinals in Week 12.
