Panthers QB Taylor Heinicke completed 33-of-53 passes for 274 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions while adding three rushes for 33 yards in Sunday's Week 16 loss to Atlanta.
Heinicke looked good from the start, tossing an early touchdown score. But it was all downhill from there as he threw three picks following a second-quarter elbow injury, which kept him out of the game for a few plays. Perhaps the injury bothered him en route to his dismal second half. If healthy, Heinicke will start in the season finale versus the Saints.
