Eric Weddle will receive $1 million bonus if Ravens make playoffs

Ravens safety Eric Weddle is in line for a sizable Christmas bonus if the Ravens qualify for the postseason. Weddle has a $1 million contract incentive if he makes the initial Pro Bowl roster and Baltimore makes the playoffs in the same season. He was named to the Pro Bowl last week so he’s halfway there. A Ravens win over the Browns or a Pittsburgh loss to the Bengals will put the Ravens into the postseason and, in turn, pay the veteran safety $1 million. But Weddle says he’s not in it for the money. "I would trade one million bucks for a chance at the playoffs any second," Weddle said. "That's just where I'm at. It's not that I don't appreciate money or how much money it is, but that's not my incentive to try to go to win." Weddle is third on the Ravens with 67 tackles to go with one sack and three passes defensed in 15 games this season.
