Cardinals to fire Steve Wilks

Fantasy Impact:
Wilks was in his first season with the team, making the move surprising in that way. However, there had been rumblings for some time that Wilks would be done after this season given the team's inept play and questionable use of players, like David Johnson. There were also concerns around rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, who failed to take a step forward like the other first-round rookie signal callers. Wilks was a defensive coordinator prior to taking the head coaching job in Arizona, and he could return to coaching in 2019 in that capacity.
