Melvin Gordon 'declares' himself ready for Wild Card Round

by Anthony Cervino | Wed, Jan 2nd 4:17pm EST

Pro Football Talk is reporting Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (ankle) "declared" himself good to go for Sunday's Wild Card Round tilt against the Ravens. (Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact:

Gordon injured his ankle late in the Chargers' season finale win over the Broncos. However, since the injury is not said to be a serious one, the ailing running back told the press he is ready to go for Sunday's matchup in Baltimore to face a Ravens defense that sits as one of the league's elite defensive units. Gordon, who put up a pedestrian 54 total yards and a touchdown on 15 touches back in Week 16's encounter with the Ravens -- a loss -- will look to build on his regular season performance and attempt to lead the Chargers to a postseason win. Sunday will be Gordon's first career playoff game.
