Josh Gordon is currently receiving in-patient treatment in Gainesville, Florida as he serves his indefinite ban from the NFL. (NESN)

Doug Kyed of NESN writes the Patriots are paying for Gordon's treatment and that it's still possible he could return to the team down the road. Gordon's latest ban from the NFL was the result of diluted drug test samples. The 27-year-old caught four TDs in 12 games this year.
