Josh Rosen garnering interest from Redskins

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Mar 2nd 4:54pm EST

NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline is reporting that the Redskins have "openly spoken about trading for" Cardinals QB Josh Rosen at the combine. (Tony Pauline on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Rosen's name has been kicked around trade rumors ever since the Cardinals brought in Kliff Kingsbury as the impending sophomore signal caller might not be viewed as the best fit for Kingsbury's air raid philosophy. Should the Cardinals elect to deal Rosen, it appears that the Redskins are the first team to legitimately inquire about him, which makes sense. The Redskins don't exactly have the most cap space and have ample needs. What's more, they'll likely be on the hook for Alex Smith's contract, which means bringing in a high-priced veteran quarterback might be out of the question. Acquiring a quarterback like Rosen who is still on his rookie deal could be in Washington's best interest looking ahead in terms of salary cap.
