Tevin Coleman heading to 49ers on two-year deal

by Brendan Tuma | Wed, Mar 13th 5:59pm EDT

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Tevin Coleman and the 49ers have come to terms on a two-year, $10 million contract. (Adam Schefter on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact:

Coleman was linked mostly to the Jets over the last couple of weeks but they filled their running back need with Le’veon Bell. Coleman was arguably the second best back on the market despite his disappointing contract year. The ex-Falcons RB rushed for 800 yards and four TDs last season while adding an additional 276 yards (and five more scores) through the air. He should do well with Kyle Shannahan since the 49ers coach had him when he was in Atlanta. Coleman could settle as an upside RB2 pick in off-season fantasy drafts. It’s unclear what San Francisco plans to do with Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida now.
