Given Thomas's age and recent injury history, it's unlikely the deal would be high-value or long-term. Thomas is most likely on a one-year deal to ride off into the sunset on a contending team. However, the depth chart is practically nonexistent, so Thomas could see starter reps immediately. If he's healthy for the start of the season, it's conceivable that Thomas could even be in the WR3 conversation since the Patriots have few other WRs and Rob Gronkowski has retired. This is absolutely a noteworthy signing for a player who was approaching droppable territory in dynasty leagues.
