Frank Clark traded to Chiefs

by Zachary Hanshew | Tue, Apr 23rd 2:00pm EDT

Defensive end Frank Clark has been traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for the Chiefs’ 2019 first-round pick, 2020 second-round pick, and a swap of 2019 third-round picks. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The move makes sense for both parties, as Kansas City could use a premiere pass-rusher, and the Seahawks could use some salary cap relief after recently signing QB Russell Wilson to a massive $140-million deal. Clark, who was given the franchise tag by the Seahawks in March, racked up 32.0 sacks and 66.0 QB hits over his last three seasons. He had yet to sign his franchise tender, which would have paid him over $17 million this season. Clark becomes the next big addition to the Chiefs’ defense, which has already added talented safety Tyrann Mathieu this offseason. The Seahawks now own the 21st and 29th picks in the first round of this year’s draft.
