Jason Pierre-Paul suffers potential season-ending fractured neck injury

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that Tampa Bay defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a potential season-ending fractured neck injury in a single-car accident last week in south Florida. Schefter adds that he "will visit neck specialists this week to get their opinions to see if there’s hope to save this season." (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Pierre-Paul recorded 12.5 sacks for Tampa Bay's defense last season and would be a brutal blow to their unit before offseason programs even begin. The defensive end is, of course, no stranger to freak injuries after severely damaging his hand in a fireworks accident, and it sounds like this latest incident could cost him another full season. An update on his status should become available in the coming weeks after he receives additional opinions on his neck.
