Giants wide receiver Golden Tate is reportedly appealing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance Enhancing Substance policy, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter. Schefter adds that Tate believes he has a legitimate case. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Giants wide receivers have been dropping like flies at the start of training cample. Corey Coleman is done for the year with a torn ACL, Sterling Shepard is dealing with a thumb injury that has him week-to-week, and now they could potentially be without Tate for the first month of the season. The NFL has typically taken a strong stance against PED use and has put the onus on the players to be aware of what they are putting into their bodies, making appeals tricky and often unsuccessful. If Tate truly does have a strong case, his suspension could potentially be reduced or rescinded, but fantasy owners should prepare to be without him for four weeks.
