An MRI revealed that A.J. Green suffered torn ligaments in his left ankle. He is likely to miss six to eight weeks and is not expected to be ready for the season opener against Seattle. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's a tough blow for Green and ankle injuries are never good as they often lead to longer-term structural instability. Drafting him will likely come at a discount given his injury history and without knowing how his ankle responds, he could potentially miss multiple games to start the season. A healthy A.J. Green could certainly provide fantasy value, but draft with caution and don't expect him to anchor your wide receiving corps. The Bengals will lean on Tyler Boyd and John Ross to fill in the production, with Boyd having greater fantasy appeal.
