Ezekiel Elliott hold-out could last 'months'

The Star-Telegram is reporting Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes RB Ezekiel Elliott's holdout could last "months into the season." (Star-Telegram)

Elliott and the Cowboys remain far apart in extension talks and the longer this situation lingers, the more risk involved when selecting the elite back as a top-four pick in fantasy drafts. However, while Jones' latest comments are alarming, he has also suggested that he would make a deal if it came down to it. When asked if he was concerned about coming to terms on a deal with Elliott, Jones replied: "When have I not gotten one [a deal] done." Despite the uncertainty, Elliott is hard to pass up if he slips past the 1.04.
